This book is designed to guide a postgraduate student of Orthopedics to reach a (differential) diagnosis through clinical methods. It explains history taking, clinical examination, and execution of tests in special situations in a clear and comprehensible manner. The standard textbooks for orthopedics usually do not elaborate the clinical examination and this book is an attempt to fill this gap. The presently available clinical examination books provide insufficient understanding of the clinical concepts. They are more or less a compilation of various tests which the student is expected to cram before the exam. This book however explains the principle and interpretation of each test in its correct perspective, so that the clinical examination becomes a joy to learn. The steps of the examination are aided by beautiful illustrations which are labeled painstakingly to provide clear directions for the execution of a particular test. This aids the student in understanding the concept without the need to cram the steps of the examination. The book begins with the nuances of history taking followed by clinical examination of each region. The content has been divided into three sections: upper limb, lower limb, and spine with the neurological examination.
